About The Position

Visual Sound is seeking a highly experienced, strategic leader to oversee the company’s day-to-day technical operations. This onsite role is responsible for maintaining seamless workflows, driving operational excellence, and aligning technical initiatives with business objectives. The Director balances strategic oversight with hands-on operational leadership, streamlines processes, and manages teams to support efficient operations and sustainable growth. A technical background in audio/visual (A/V) is required, along with proficiency in supervision, procedures, budgeting, and proposal development.

• Experience in process optimization and operational excellence.
• Experience with financial and budget management.
• Change-management skills and adaptability.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in operations management.
• Background in leadership roles and managing vendor relationships.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company objectives.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in problem-solving and developing and executing strategic plans.
• Proficiency in supervision, procedures, budgeting, and proposal development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop high-performing teams, drive accountability, and foster collaboration across departments.
• Set and execute operational strategies, scale operations, and use KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
• Improve workflows, reduce costs, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Manage P&L, budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting.
• Implement new systems, restructure teams, and improve company-wide efficiencies.
• Report on and analyze ongoing operations.
• Manage vendor relationships and collaborate with other departments to align operations with company objectives.
• Develop and execute strategic plans.
