About The Position

Samsung Semiconductor is seeking a Technical Account Manager, DRAM Business Enablement. This role involves managing customer selection of Samsung for DRAM-based memory solutions across various applications. The focus is on successful engineering engagement to drive lead supplier positions for design-in and qualification, encompassing technical program management, customer relationship management, and collaborative engineering debugging. The position requires interaction with multiple internal stakeholders to align with customer objectives and foster deeper engagement. Key responsibilities include supporting Datacenter, PC & consumer DRAM products, enabling various DRAM products like DDR DIMMs, discrete LPDDR and DDR DRAM components, and HBM. The role involves understanding customer requirements for DRAM product design-in, providing solutions in collaboration with Samsung HQ in Korea, and supporting self-qualification activities such as SI/PI and timing analysis. Additionally, the Technical Account Manager will manage Product Change Notices (PCN), organize Quarterly Technical Reviews (QTR), align technology roadmaps, and provide market overviews. Developing subject matter expertise for first-line technical or operational issue resolution and synchronizing with Samsung business teams to align technical and business strategies are crucial. The role also entails managing critical customer relationships, demonstrating leadership through influence, relationship building, customer focus, efficiency, communication, and self-development. Organizing technical communication for on-site problem-solving, establishing verification procedures, and facilitating seamless collaboration through internal and external forums are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field with 10+ years experience with the corresponding industry experience or Master’s degree with 8+ years or a PhD preferred with 5+ years.
  • Familiarity with DRAM memory design, architecture, or system architecture.
  • Background in Signal Integrity/Power Integrity (SI/PI) and timing measurements.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, fab processes, and advanced package technology.
  • Familiarity with system-level operation including RAS, Memory Controller, and memory PHY.
  • Solid experience in supporting DRAM memory products.
  • Prior experience in semiconductor technology or the memory field with customer-facing responsibilities.
  • Prior experience as an Applications, Development, Design, or Validation Engineer, or a related technical role.
  • Customer support experience for DRAM products.
  • An avid learner who approaches challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to build understanding.
  • Leadership skills for driving customer enablement strategies and debug activities.
  • Professional fluency in Korean and English is required to facilitate seamless technical communication and collaboration between customers and Samsung HQ in Korea.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Candidates must be available for travel of varying frequency and duration based on project requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Support Datacenter, PC & consumer DRAM products to customers and enable various DRAM products: DDR based memory DIMMs, discrete LPDDR and DDR DRAM components, and HBM (High Bandwidth Memory).
  • Understand customer requirements for DRAM product design-in and work with Samsung HQ in Korea to provide solutions and suggestions.
  • Support self-qualification activities including SI/PI and timing analysis.
  • Control and follow up on PCN (Product Change Notice), organize QTR (Quarterly Technical Review), and align technology roadmaps and market overviews.
  • Develop subject matter expertise needed to provide first-line technical or operational issue resolution as needed to drive to closure.
  • Synchronize with Samsung business teams to assure that the Samsung Technical strategy is fully aligned with our business strategy.
  • Manage critical relationships with key customer decision makers.
  • Demonstrate leadership through influencing, relationship building, customer focus, efficiency, excellent communication skills, and self-development.
  • Organize technical communication with customers to perform on-site problem solving and help establish verification procedures and conditions for issue duplication and improvement.
