About The Position

The Tech Training Specialist trains front-line staff in the use and practices of point-of-sale devices before and during events. The role supports accurate and consistent transactions, including card payments, Bucs App Krewe cash payments, discounts, and special promotions. The specialist monitors stands, assists operators with transaction questions, and helps ensure guests have a positive experience. The position reports to the Venue Technology Manager and follows an event-based schedule, including late hours and weekends.

Requirements

• Previous experience training individuals one-on-one and in group settings.
• Experience with POS systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and demonstrate a high level of maturity.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple tasks efficiently and on time.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
• Ability to adapt immediately to changes in the environment.
• Availability for an event-based schedule, including late hours and weekends.
• Ability to be on one's feet and walk long distances.
• Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow applicable safety policies, procedures, and regulations and complete required safety training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Clover Sport POS systems is preferred.
• Basic understanding of PCI risk and compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train operators in the use of point-of-sale devices before and during events.
• Monitor stands for consistency of operations during events.
• Assist operators with questions about correctly completing transactions.
• Help ensure guests receive the best possible experience and are satisfied with their visit.
• Assess and prioritize issues and requests to minimize operational impact.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the organization and adhere to its standards and practices.
• Initiate and implement improvements within areas of responsibility.
• Perform additional related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required.
• Follow safe work habits and safety policies, procedures, and regulations; complete company-wide and job-specific safety training.
