About The Position
This position involves teaching a course on TEAMWORK&COMMUNICATION SKILLS (SED1112, Section A) during the 2027 Winter Semester. The role requires developing and delivering interactive lectures and workshops on teamwork and communication principles in engineering. Responsibilities include teaching team dynamics, guiding students in verbal and written communication skills, facilitating group projects, exploring the impact of teamwork and communication on the engineering profession, assessing student performance, providing feedback, and holding office hours. The course is taught in English, but competence in a second language (French) is required, and teaching in French is also a requirement for this position.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Communication, Education, or a related field
- Proven teaching experience at the post-secondary level
- Strong understanding of team dynamics, collaborative problem-solving, and professional communication in engineering
- Ability to mentor students in both individual and group settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teaching in French
Nice To Haves
- Experience facilitating teamwork or communication workshops in an engineering or technical context
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary or project-based learning environments
- Experience supervising or coaching student teams on engineering projects
Responsibilities
