About The Position

Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices that fulfill customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and appearance through customer service, stocking and back-stock work, product recovery and assembly, cash-register operations, and general cleaning. Team Members also carry out operational priorities assigned by store management, support merchandising and loss-prevention standards, and contribute to a positive working environment.

Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Commitment to excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and other team members.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and to reach, bend, twist, and kneel.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in the store and on supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support customers with financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store-cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
