About The Position

Family Farm and Home is a family-owned and operated retail company based in Michigan. Team Members support the company’s mission to provide exceptional service, products, and prices that fulfill customers’ lifestyle needs. They contribute to daily store operations and maintenance, including stocking and recovery, placing items in back stock, assembling products, operating the cash register, and maintaining store cleanliness. The role also involves assisting customers in person and through company-supported internet sites, processing special orders, and supporting sales programs and financing options.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of basic computer systems.
Ability to stand for extended periods and to reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote the Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in the store and on company-supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct store locations.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Support and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance pricing, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and potential shoplifting, and communicate issues to store management.
Uphold company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently if at least 18 years old.
Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness in the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
