About The Position

Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company’s mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices while fulfilling customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and upkeep, including stocking and back stocking products, recovering and assembling merchandise, operating the cash register, and maintaining general store cleanliness. Team Members provide customer service, support sales and promotional programs, complete operational tasks, and help maintain merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends, evenings, and holidays, and involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant and positive manner.
Encourage customers to participate in company programs, including the loyalty program, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in-store and on supported internet sites, including processing special orders.
Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
Explain and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
Help set promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
Monitor in-store safety issues and shoplifting activity, and communicate potential issues to store management.
Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
Help build and assemble store displays, products, and fixtures.
Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, receiving area, cash office, register area, restrooms, and break room.
Uphold merchandising, store cleanliness, and safety standards.
Assist with completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management or company officials.
