About The Position
Family Farm and Home Team Members contribute to the company mission of providing exceptional service, products, and prices that fulfill customers’ lifestyle needs. The role supports daily store operations and appearance through customer service, stocking and back-stock placement, product recovery and assembly, cash-register operation, and general cleaning. Team Members follow priorities set by store management, use company systems to receive tasks and complete store and online-order workflows, and support sales programs, merchandising, safety, loss prevention, and operational standards. The role requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and involves standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities
- Promote Family Farm and Home’s mission statement and family values.
- Execute daily operational goals and priorities assigned by store management.
- Use Farm Hand to receive communications and tasks from the corporate office and store management.
- Greet customers and interact with them in a pleasant, positive manner.
- Solicit customer participation in company programs, including loyalty, extended warranties, add-on initiatives, financing, and Item of the Month.
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist customers in stores, on supported internet sites, and with special orders.
- Use the point-of-sale system to check out customers and follow cash-handling procedures.
- Use On the Go to complete planograms and mass layouts in the correct locations according to the store layout.
- Use Harvester to complete online customer orders.
- Explain and promote financing options and use current financing websites to complete customer credit inquiries.
- Assist with promotional signage, price changes, clearance prices, and other in-store signage as directed.
- Assist with freight, recovery, and out-of-stock processes.
- Achieve passing scores on corporate store audits, assessments, and store walks.
- Maintain awareness of in-store safety issues and shoplifting, and communicate potential issues to store management.
- Uphold and support company loss-prevention measures.
- Operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and efficiently, if at least 18 years old.
- Assist with building and assembling store displays, products, and fixtures.
- Maintain cleanliness in sales-floor, receiving, cash-office and register areas, restrooms, and break room.
- Uphold merchandising, store-cleanliness, and safety standards.
- Assist with completing the Daily Operational Standards checklist.
- Contribute to a positive working environment for all team members.
- Perform other duties assigned by store management or company officials.
