About The Position

The Driver transports fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations and navigates written directions. The role may also involve safely and courteously delivering customers, employees, or vendors to appropriate destinations. Drivers may travel locally or out of area as needed, ride with or follow another driver to drop off or pick up vehicles, organize travel routes, and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely. The Driver may communicate by two-way radio or cellular phone, clean vehicles, and perform other job-related duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with a consistent 40-hour-per-week schedule. The hourly pay is $14.25. The listed schedule is Monday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., Tuesday 8 a.m.–3 p.m., Wednesday off, Thursday 11 a.m.–5 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.–6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. The position is located at 2720 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on the driving record in the past three years.
Must have no drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record in the past five years.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require work authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Transport fleet cars and vans to and from rental locations, navigating written directions.
Drive and deliver vehicles locally or out of area as needed while following all rules of the road.
Deliver customers and vehicles safely and courteously to the appropriate destinations.
Ride with or follow another driver to drop off vehicles or pick up multiple vehicles.
Organize travel routes and ensure vehicle paperwork is accurate and timely.
Communicate via two-way radio or cellular phone as needed.
Clean vehicles as requested.
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
