About The Position

New Holland Brewing Company is hiring a part-time Dishwasher in Grand Rapids. This hourly position starts at $15.55 per hour, with higher pay available based on experience. The Dishwasher helps keep restaurant service flowing by maintaining clean glassware, dishware, and utensils, and contributing to a clean work environment and positive guest experience. Typical duties include setting up dish areas and checking chemicals and equipment; washing dishes for prep and assisting with prep; keeping dishes washed and stocked during service; and closing dish stations while assisting with kitchen closing. The role also involves collecting bus tubs, cleaning and restocking employee bathrooms, removing trash and recycling, sweeping and mopping, reporting equipment problems, and performing light maintenance as needed. The position reports to the Executive Chef. The job requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, stand for up to ten hours at a time, and frequently reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds. New Holland conducts job-related background checks on finalists after a contingent offer of employment.

Responsibilities

Act in a manner consistent with New Holland Brewing Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
Set up dish areas and check chemicals and equipment.
Wash dishes for prep and assist with prep.
Keep dishes washed and stocked during service.
Work with other dishwashers to clean dishes, empty bus tubs, and put away clean dishes.
Collect bus tubs from service areas and the line.
Keep floors clean through frequent sweeping and mopping.
Empty garbage and cardboard into appropriate outdoor receptacles; handle recycling and compost.
Clean and restock employee bathrooms.
Report equipment problems to management and perform light maintenance as necessary.
Close down dish stations and assist with kitchen closing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
