About The Position

The Team Leader supports Store leadership, delivers Legendary Service, coaches Team Members, and owns assigned sales-floor presentation areas. Team Leaders are expected to be top-selling Team Members and maintain Power Panels, Clipstrips, Endcaps, Clothing recovery, and assigned BOPIS/OMNI support according to store needs. They lead assigned Team Members during shifts by delegating tasks, following up on execution, reinforcing service expectations, and promoting safe work practices. They also support front-end, sales-floor, recovery, Customer engagement, and Store readiness routines as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Manager. The role requires regular and predictable attendance and flexibility to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate. Work shifts generally last at least four hours and may exceed eight hours. The work environment is generally indoors with moderate noise, though the role may require working outdoors in adverse weather. This is a non-sedentary position involving movement throughout the store and outdoor areas, equipment operation, customer service, and merchandise handling. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Retail experience and/or knowledge of farming, ranching, pets/equine, or welding is strongly preferred; supervisory experience is preferred. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license. Team Members must be able to read, write, and count accurately, and complete required training and certifications, including propane dispensing where required. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to read, write, and count accurately.
Must be able to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
Must be able to move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the store.
Must be able to push and pull merchandise weighing up to 2,000 pounds with proper material-handling equipment, such as a pallet jack.
Must be able to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead and frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
Must be able to move throughout the store for an entire shift and safely access the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
Must be able to safely and efficiently operate equipment necessary to run a store, including a dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, and cash register.
Must be able to handle and be in contact with birds/poultry.
Must successfully complete required training, including training and certification to dispense propane and other training or certifications required for business needs.
Must be able to travel as required in support of district needs and drive or operate a vehicle for business needs.
Must be able to communicate effectively with Team Members and customers using written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to process information and merchandise through the point-of-sale system.
Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge is strongly preferred.
Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate.
Follow and enforce policies and procedures to uphold a safe and productive work environment.
Deliver Legendary Service and reinforce Leading with Legendary behaviors through Customer engagement, Team Member coaching, and accountability for execution.
Use A+ Coaching to celebrate and develop Team Members, improve selling behaviors, and reinforce consistent operating standards.
Model selling behaviors and perform as one of the store’s top-selling Team Members.
Own Power Panel execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
Own Clipstrip execution, maintenance, replenishment, signing, and recovery.
Own Endcap execution, maintenance, signing, and recovery.
Complete full weekly Clothing Department recovery, including assigned standards and follow-up.
Support BOPIS/OMNI execution, including picking, staging, Customer handoff, and follow-up as assigned.
Lead assigned Team Members during shifts by delegating tasks and following up on service expectations and safe work practices.
Support front-end, sales-floor, recovery, and Customer engagement routines as assigned by the Store Manager or Sales Manager.
Support Store readiness by owning and maintaining Power Panels, Clipstrips, Endcaps, and Clothing.
Operate cash register/computer, forklift, and other equipment as needed, and assist customers with loading purchases.
Complete documentation associated with job duties accurately and on time.
Obtain licenses or certifications as needed by the business.
Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members, customers, and vendors, and train Team Members on applying policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
