About The Position

The Team Leader supervises store personnel during assigned shifts to ensure operational standards are met. The role may open or close the store as the key holder on duty, supports and develops team members, and helps maintain customer service, store appearance, safety, and accurate records. The Team Leader performs and assists with store personnel functions, communicates issues to management, and may transfer to any Goodwill of North Georgia store within the territory as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Two to three years of retail experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Certification and license to operate a forklift.
Dependable transportation and an electronic communication device.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
Ability to adapt to growth and a changing environment within the agency.
Ability to work in heat, cold, and dust.
Ability to bend, reach, grasp, stand and/or walk for extended periods, and push, pull, and lift up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Availability to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed for business operations.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree or completion of related retail management coursework.

Responsibilities

Supervise store personnel during assigned shifts and ensure operational standards are met.
Open and/or close the store as the key holder or team leader on duty.
Develop, train, coach, and support team members for career growth within the organization.
Follow agency policies, Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures, and safety and security procedures.
Adhere to the task outline for the job being supervised and performed.
Greet and assist donors and customers; ensure customer needs are met and service is efficient and effective.
Assist with and resolve complaints, and communicate complaints and issues to the management team.
Maintain proficiency in tasks required at all workstations.
Monitor and maintain store appearance and housekeeping to agency standards.
Perform and assist with functions completed by store personnel.
Help maintain company records and reports accurately and on time.
Attend meetings and training as required by the agency.
Transfer to any Goodwill of North Georgia store within the territory as needed or required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
