About The Position

The Team Lead at La Petite Academy of Huntersville promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth and leads classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction makes up at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The role also builds relationships with families, mentors and supports Teachers and new hires, and helps manage the center. In the Director’s or Assistant Director’s absence, the Team Lead takes on their duties, including opening and closing the school. The Team Lead ensures each child receives daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Experience leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

• Communicate and build relationships with families to promote children’s achievement and support the center’s success.
• Manage, train, and mentor new hires and fellow Teachers, or assist with these activities.
• Create fun, interactive learning experiences for preschool children.
• Take on the duties of the Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards.
