About The Position

La Petite Academy of Huntersville is hiring a Team Lead to promote children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth and inspire them to become lifelong learners. The Team Lead leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, with classroom instruction making up at least 50% of the weekly schedule. They communicate and build relationships with families, and are responsible for or assist with managing, training, and mentoring new hires and fellow teachers while creating interactive learning experiences for preschool children. The role also covers Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening and closing the school, and ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA.
