About The Position

The Lead Teacher at LaPetite Academy of Greensboro creates interactive learning experiences and supports children’s development in a preschool classroom. The role leads classroom management and curriculum implementation, maintains knowledge of licensing guidelines and company standards, and builds relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote children’s achievement and center success. The Lead Teacher also mentors fellow teachers and engages children in learning activities indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state education requirements and the childcare center’s requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• Energetic, dependable, and passionate approach to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Develop fun, interactive learning experiences and mentor fellow teachers.
• Promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children in the classroom.
• Lead classroom management and curriculum implementation.
