About The Position

The Team Lead is responsible for, or assists with, managing, training, and mentoring newly hired and existing employees. The role mentors fellow teachers while supporting directors with daily school operations, and may take on Director or Assistant Director duties during their absence, including opening and closing the school. The Team Lead also ensures the daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and company standards, creates interactive learning experiences, and communicates with parents and prospective parents to support each child’s success.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must meet state education requirements; additional center or school requirements may apply.
• Experience coaching and training staff members.
• Associate degree in early childhood education or child development, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• Experience working in a licensed childcare facility, leading a classroom, and creating educational lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Mentor fellow teachers while supporting directors in daily school operations.
• Assume the duties of the Director or Assistant Director in their absence, including opening and closing the school.
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following licensing guidelines and implementing company standards.
• Create fun and interactive learning experiences while mentoring fellow teachers.
• Communicate directly with parents and prospective parents to achieve success for the child.
• Manage, train, and mentor newly hired and existing employees, or assist with these activities.
