About The Position

The Team Lead assists with overseeing gym operations to ensure a positive member experience. The role supports staff training and development, member service, front desk activities, team member management, club cleanliness, marketing efforts, and inventory and supply tracking. The Team Lead provides backup support to the Club Manager as needed and helps ensure staff follow company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Honesty and a good work ethic.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to talk in person or on the phone for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for less than 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Assist in training and developing staff.
Assist with oversight of member services and help ensure staff provide a great customer experience.
Handle front desk tasks, including answering calls, taking information calls, and assisting with member check-ins, sign-ups, cancellations, and account updates.
Welcome potential members and provide gym tours.
Help resolve member service issues and answer questions.
Assist with team member management and provide backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
Help ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Help create and maintain a positive image for the club.
Assist with overseeing gym cleanliness and appearance.
Assist in managing marketing efforts and ensure team members know about and are trained on current promotions.
Assist with ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and tracking reports as needed.
