About The Position

The Team Lead assists with overseeing gym operations to ensure a positive member experience. The role supports staff training and development, member service, front desk activities, team member management, club cleanliness, marketing efforts, and inventory and supply tasks. The Team Lead reports to the Club Manager and is a full-time, supervisory, non-exempt position.

Requirements

Honesty and a good work ethic.
Strong customer service skills.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to talk in person or on the phone for at least 75% of the shift.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for less than 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

Assist in training and developing staff.
Help oversee member service and ensure staff provide a great customer experience.
Perform front desk tasks, including answering calls and information inquiries, assisting with check-ins, sign-ups, cancellations, and account updates, welcoming prospective members, and providing gym tours.
Help facilitate member service issues and answer questions.
Assist with team member management and provide backup support to the Club Manager as needed.
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
Help create and maintain a positive image for the club.
Help oversee the cleanliness and appearance of the gym.
Assist with marketing efforts and ensure team members know about and are trained on current promotions.
Assist with ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and tracking reports as needed.
