Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily work direction and prioritize workload within their area of responsibility.
  • Responsible for department/shift in absence of supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with and motivate team members to meet department goals.
  • Participates in and support continuous improvement events.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, supply chain problems and training deficiencies using proven problem-solving processes.
  • Act as primary contact point for any issues on the shop floor.
  • Engage proper resources to resolve as needed.
  • Monitor key metrics to assess safety, quality, delivery, cost and engagement.
  • Collaborate with technical team and other Leads/Supervisors to drive improvements.
  • Provide root cause & short-term corrective action for customer service and quality issues.
  • Act as a primary resource to address violations of policies and procedures.
  • Escalate to supervisor for formal disciplinary action.
  • Ability to provide a detailed recap of day, what went well and what didn’t for EOS report.
  • Attend and actively participate in start of shift meetings daily and support cell captains as needed.
  • Lead effective Tier 1 meetings to drive daily performance and improvement.
  • Audit in process quality and work with the team to drive reduced scrap and rework.
  • Trained in security and emergency response details.
  • Spend 80% of time on the floor and 20% of time behind the computer.
  • Train and follow up regularly with new employees.
  • Ability to understand SAP, CM03 and other planning tools.
  • Follow standard work.
