Requirements

• Must hold not less than a BA in African History or related discipline with a minimum 75% average.
• Must have background knowledge or course experience in African History.
• Must show evidence of successful university-level teaching assistant experience or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational and effective communication and writing skills, including the ability to explain subject material to students.
• Punctual in attending classes.
• Meet appropriate deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Scheduled contact time with students
• Preparation of seminar material
• Student consultation
• Marking or grading
• Examination proctoring
• Attending lectures
• Holding office hours
• Other course administration as may be required
