About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Communication and Health course (HSS2102 Section C) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with course administration and student support. The instruction mode for this course is hybrid, requiring occasional campus visits. The TA will be responsible for grading written assignments and exams, and may hold online and in-person office hours to address student inquiries. Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is required. This contract includes hours for supervision and correction of the final exam. Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent.
- Skilled at writing in English to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams.
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant).
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content).
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of written assignments and exams.
- Hold online and in-person office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
- Supervision and correction of the final exam.
