About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Communication and Health course (HSS2102 Section A) during the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester. The role involves assisting the professor with grading written assignments and exams, and potentially holding in-person office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered in person, and occasional campus visits will be required. The Teaching Assistant will also need access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam. This contract includes hours for supervision and correction of the final exam. Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent.
- Skilled at writing in English to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams.
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant).
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content).
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam.
- Must be able to come to campus occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of written assignments and exams.
- Hold in person office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
- Supervision and correction of the final exam.
