About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Molecular Mechanisms of Disease course (HSS2305 Section B) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with the correction of written assignments and exams, and potentially holding in-person or online office hours to address student inquiries. The course will be hybrid, requiring occasional campus visits. The total work hours for this position are 75.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent with knowledge in molecular biology.
- Skilled at writing in English to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams.
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant).
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content).
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of written assignments and exams.
- Hold in person or online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
- Supervision and correction of the final exam.
