About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the HSS1100 Microbiology and Immunology course during the Fall 2026 semester. The TA will assist the professor with various tasks related to the course, which will be delivered online. Responsibilities include helping with the correction of assignments and exams, assisting with tutorial sessions, and updating the BrightSpace Learn platform. The TA may also be required to hold office hours to address student inquiries and concerns outside of class times. The total work hours for this position are 55.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Knowledge in Microbiology and/or Infectious Diseases or equivalent
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of assignments and exams
- Assistance with tutorial sessions
- Updating of BrightSpace Learn
- Hold office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
- Supervision and correction of the final exam
