About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Molecular Mechanisms of Disease course (HSS2305 Section C) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with course administration and student support. The course will be taught in a hybrid format, requiring occasional on-campus presence. Requirements

  • Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent with knowledge in molecular biology.
  • Skilled at writing in English to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams.
  • Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
  • Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
  • Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in molecular biology.

Responsibilities

  • Help with correction of written assignments and exams.
  • Hold in person or online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
  • Correction - Notation / Grading
  • Proctoring
  • Supervision and correction of the final exam.
