About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the "Quantitative Methods in Health Sciences: Continuous Variables" course (HSS2381, Section B) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with course delivery, including grading assignments and exams, supervising lab activities, and proctoring exams. The teaching assistant will also be expected to hold office hours to address student inquiries. The course is primarily in-person, with a hybrid lab component requiring occasional campus visits. The position requires access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts of statistical methods
- Knowledge of Excel and SPSS
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of assignments, mid-term and final exams
