About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the "Quantitative Methods in Health Sciences: Continuous Variables" course (HSS2381 Section E) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course is primarily online with a hybrid lab component. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting the professor with grading assignments, mid-term and final exams, supervising lab activities, proctoring exams, and holding office hours to address student inquiries. The total work hours for this position are 75.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Advance knowledge of the concepts of statistical methods
- Knowledge of Excel and SPSS
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam
- Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of assignments, mid-term and final exams
- Supervision of lab activities
- Proctoring of exams
- Teaching assistant is required to have online or in-person office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
