About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the CHYS 3P26 Winter D3 - Introduction to Early Interventions for Infants and Preschoolers course. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group. The role involves scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time, including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration. The Teaching Assistant must be able to attend the last hour of lecture each week.

Requirements

Minimum 3rd Year complete in the CHYS BA or CHYS BA/BEd program, or be entering and/or continuing in the CHYS MA or CHYS PhD program.
Must have previously completed CHYS 3P26 or equivalent, and obtained 80% or higher. Previous successful experience as a Teaching Assistant for CHYS 3P26 will be considered as equivalent.
Demonstrated successful experience grading on-line.
Must have effective communication skills including the ability to explain subject material to students.
Provide, if available, an evaluation of successful previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Marker-Grader.
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
