About The Position
This posting is for one unionized contractual appointment as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education for the EDKP 498 course. A Teaching Assistant is a Graduate Student employed to assist the Course Supervisor in a classroom environment. Teaching Assistant Positions are governed by the Collective Agreement between McGill University and the Association of Graduate Students Employed at McGill (AGSEM). The position involves 45 hours for the term.
Requirements
- BA/BSc in Kinesiology, Physical & Health Education, Psychology or related field
- Completion of an undergraduate or graduate course in sport psychology
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located.
- English communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Grade and evaluate mid-term and final essay-style exams.
- Evaluate reflection assignments on videos and guest speakers throughout the semester.
- Lead and facilitate in-group and class discussions.
- Assist with the organization and management of electronic files on MyCourses.
