About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Protein Structure and Function course (BIOC 450) during the Fall 2026 term. The contract period is from August 31, 2026, to December 31, 2026. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for attending lectures, assisting students with questions, providing support via myCourses, responding to email inquiries, conducting review sessions, and assisting with grading. The hours are flexible.
Requirements
- Enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Fall 2026 term.
- Must have received a final grade of 'A' in BIOC 450.
- Effective communication skills in English are essential.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec.
- If an International Student, must hold a valid study permit covering the TA contract period.
Nice To Haves
- French is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Be present at lectures personally and help students, answer questions.
- Aid students via myCourses.
- Be available to answer e-mail inquiries or direct questions.
- Provide a review session upon completion of each course section.
- Help grading questions throughout the semester as discussed with course coordinators and instructors.
- Possibility of grading exams.
