About The Position

This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the Molecular Mechanisms of Disease course (BIOC 504) during the Fall 2026 term. The contract period is from Monday, August 31, to Thursday, December 31, 2026. The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for attending all seminars, evaluating students' presentations, compiling attendance and grades, providing feedback on presentations, and answering student questions via email or MyCourses. The role also involves marking six Paper Discussions at the end of each module and addressing student queries regarding the grading.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a McGill graduate program in Fall 2026 term.
  • Enrolled in the Graduate Program in the Department of Biochemistry or within McGill University (i.e.: MIMM or EXMD graduate programs).
  • Effective communication skills in English are essential.
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada.
  • Must be willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • Must hold a valid study permit covering TA contract period (for International Students).

Nice To Haves

  • French is an asset.
