About The Position
This is a specific course posting for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor role within the Faculty of Health Sciences, School of Nutrition Sciences at the University of Ottawa. The position is for NUT1104, Food Sciences I, Section A, during the Fall 2026 semester. Requirements
- Completed Honours Bachelor in Food and Nutrition Sciences or related field.
- Good knowledge of the course subject.
- Good analytical skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- If the degree is in an equivalent field, the candidate must clearly explain in their résumé how their academic background connects to Food and Nutrition Sciences.
- Must be available Fridays from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
- Proctoring and marking assessments, such as projects, quizzes, midterm examinations, and the final examination.
- Contribution to updating and enhancing course content through the integration of relevant educational resources and innovative technological tools.
- Support for students by answering their questions and facilitating their understanding of the concepts covered.
