About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the course HSS4102A: Developmental Origins of Health and Disease during the Fall 2025 semester. The role involves assisting the professor with grading assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding in-person office hours to address student inquiries. The course is offered in person, and the teaching assistant will be required to come to campus occasionally. Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is also necessary. This contract includes hours for supervision and correction of the final exam. Requirements

  • Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
  • Very good English writing skills to accurately mark essays and long answers on exams
  • Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
  • Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
  • Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam

Responsibilities

  • Help with correction of the assignments and exams
  • Proctoring of exams
  • Hold in-person office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
