About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the International Health course (HSS4331 Section A) during the Fall 2026 semester. The course is hybrid and has an expected enrollment of 120 students. The TA will assist the professor with various tasks related to the course, including grading assignments and exams, proctoring exams, and potentially holding online office hours to address student inquiries. The work start date is September 7, 2026, and the end date is December 31, 2026, with a total of 60 work hours. The hourly rate depends on the student's status (undergraduate or graduate). Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam (as the course will be online)
- Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
Responsibilities
- Help with correction of the assignments and exams
- Proctoring of exams
- Hold online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times
