About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor (CUPE) position for the course HIS1101-A00, The Making of Canada, during the 2026 Fall Semester. The position is for a new role and will be performed at the Main Campus. The course is delivered in person. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement. Requirements

  • Baccalaureate in History or related field.
  • Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
  • Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

Responsibilities

  • Correcting homework, essays, and tests.
  • Attending lectures in class and/or online.
  • Consulting in person and/or online with individual students.
  • Proctoring exams.
  • Supporting the teacher in grading.
