About The Position

This is a specific course posting for a Teaching Assistant/Demonstrator/Lab Monitor position within the Department of Communication, Faculty of Arts, for the Popular Culture and Communication course (CMN2180, Section A00) during the 2026 Fall Semester. The role involves a total of 90 work hours, with the primary allocation being 65 hours for 'Other' tasks, as defined in the collective agreement. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement, and the work is to be performed in person. Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Communication or related field.
• Must be a CUPE 2626 union member.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Must be available to work from September 01, 2026, to December 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Correcting assignments and exams.
• Attending lectures in class and/or online.
• Consulting with individual students in person and/or online.
• Proctoring exams.
• Other duties as negotiated with the supervising professor, totaling 65 hours.
