About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the CMN2101-A00 course, Research Methods in Communication, during the Fall 2026 semester. The position is for one (1) opening with an expected enrollment of 75 students. The work is to be performed on the Main Campus and is an in-person teaching mode. The total work hours are 25, with the primary allocation being 'Other' tasks. The hourly rate is $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates), excluding vacation and statutory pay. These rates are subject to change with a new collective agreement, with retroactivity applied after ratification. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31.

Requirements

• Baccalaureate in Communication or related field.
• Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
• Ability to work in English.

Responsibilities

• Correcting assignments and exams.
• Attending lectures in class and/or online.
• Consulting in person and/or online with individual students.
• Proctoring exams.
• Other duties as negotiated with the supervising professor.
