About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position within the CPA Program for the Fall 2026 semester at the Main Campus, Telfer School of Management. The role involves marking case assignments and exams, providing written feedback, and conducting a post-exam presentation. The total estimated work hours are 139, with the majority allocated to grading. The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31, with undergraduate students paid at a lower rate than graduate students. The work will be conducted in English.

Requirements

Candidates should preferably be CPA's or have passed the CFE leading to the CPA.
Must have a graduate degree from a CPA Post-Graduate Program offered by an Ontario Post-Secondary Institution accredited by CPA Ontario.
Preference given to candidates who have successfully completed the Telfer CPA Graduate Diploma Program.
Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is required.
Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.

Nice To Haves

Experience marking for CPA Accredited PSI Graduate Programs.
Experience marking the CFE.
Experience with online course delivery.
Experience with online videoconferencing environment (e.g., Microsoft Teams).

Responsibilities

Marking 2 case assignments and 2 exams (mid-term and final) using Densmore marking grids.
Providing written feedback on each case assignment/exam to each student.
Providing a post-exam presentation (1-3 hrs) to take up the mid-term exam and provide exam-writing tips/techniques/improvements.
Contact with students for 3 hours.
Grading for 136 hours.
