About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the Gestion Financière (ADM2750) course during the 2026 Fall Semester at the Telfer School of Management. The role involves giving laboratories, grading mid-term and group assignments, and proctoring exams. The total expected work hours are 102, with a potential increase of 10% to 30% based on enrollment. The hourly rate depends on whether the candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student. Candidates must be located in Ottawa for the duration of the course and have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and camera. The teaching method may be modified due to health or other reasons. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of financial management concepts
  • Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to solve financial problems accurately and efficiently
  • Ability to interpret financial results
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 7.0
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM2350 or equivalent
  • Ability to solve financial problems using Excel and an approved financial calculator (CFA/LIFA), specifically the Texas Instruments BAII+
  • Good expression and communication skills in French
  • Must be able to perform work in French
  • Must have access to a computer, internet connection, microphone, and camera
  • Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course (except for official University holidays), including for grading the final exam and calculating final grades

  • Preference will be given to candidates with the best grades
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previously held a Teaching Assistant or Grader position for this course
