About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Equity Valuation course (ADM4350) during the Fall 2026 semester at the Telfer School of Management. The TA will be responsible for marking assignments, quizzes, live case assignments, and the final summative submission. They will also provide computational assistance using Bloomberg Factset and hold office hours. Proctoring exams is another key responsibility. The position requires a strong understanding of Equity Valuation, the ability to apply grading rubrics and provide feedback, and the capacity to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently. Candidates must meet minimum GPA and course grade requirements and have excellent knowledge of Capital IQ, Bloomberg, Factset, Brightspace, and MS Teams. Experience with online course delivery and videoconferencing is considered an asset. The TA must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course and will be paid an hourly rate based on their student status (undergraduate or graduate).

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Equity Valuation
  • Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
  • Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.5
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM 4350 or its equivalent
  • Must know Capital IQ
  • Academic; finance concentration
  • Excellent understanding of Brightspace
  • Excellent understanding of MS Teams
  • Excellent Knowledge of Captial IQ
  • Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course
  • Required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferable if the candidate also knows Bloomberg & Factset
  • Experience with online course delivery considered an asset
  • Experience with online videoconferencing environment considered an asset (ex. Microsoft Teams)
  • Preference will be given to higher grades
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course
  • Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in Telfer programs
