About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the Cross-Cultural Management course (ADM3319) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves grading group projects, group cases, record keeping, and log marking, as well as proctoring exams. Specific hours for tasks will be negotiated with the supervising professor. The TA will be responsible for grading and returning assignments within specified timelines, aiming for all deliverables to be marked before final exams. The position requires a strong understanding of Cross-Cultural Management, the ability to apply grading rubrics, and to meet strict deadlines. A minimum CGPA of 7.0 and a minimum grade of A- in ADM 3319 or equivalent are required. Prior marker experience and fluency in English are highly desirable. Experience with online course delivery and videoconferencing is considered an asset. The TA must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course and will be required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam. All mandatory legislated training must be completed. The hiring process will follow the CUPE 2626 collective agreement.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Cross-Cultural Management
  • Ability to apply grading rubrics and provide clear, structured feedback
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage workload efficiently
  • Minimum C.G.P.A. of 7.0
  • Minimum grade of A- in ADM 3319 or its equivalent
  • Fluency in reading and written English
  • Must be located in Ottawa for the entire duration of the course
  • Required to have access to a computer, internet, microphone and webcam

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a marker
  • Experience with online course delivery
  • Experience with online videoconferencing environment (e.g., Microsoft Teams)
  • Candidates enrolled in Telfer programs
  • Candidates who have previously been teaching assistants or markers for this course

Responsibilities

  • Grade group projects, group cases, record keeping and log marking.
  • Mark and return group cases within 1 week.
  • Mark and return logs within 2 weeks.
  • Mark and return end of term projects within a week after receiving the professor's presentation feedback for that group.
  • Proctor exams.
  • Complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
