About The Position

This posting is for a Teaching Assistant (TA) position for the CPA Program for the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves correcting cases and mid-term/final exams using Densmore grading rubrics, providing written feedback to students, and preparing and delivering a presentation after the mid-term exam. The TA will work with courses such as CPT 5500, CPT 5501, CPT 5502, CPT 5503, and CPT 5504. The work is expected to be performed in person, but the teaching method may change due to health measures or other reasons. Candidates must have access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam.

Requirements

Must preferably be a CPA or have passed the Common Final Examination (CFE) leading to the CPA.
Must have a graduate studies diploma from a CPA Ontario accredited graduate studies program (preference given to candidates who have successfully completed the Telfer CPA graduate diploma program).
Access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam is required.

Nice To Haves

Experience in grading for graduate programs at CPA Ontario accredited universities.
Experience in grading for the CFE.
Experience with online teaching.
Experience in an online video conferencing environment (e.g., Microsoft Teams).

Responsibilities

Correct 5 cases and mid-term and final exams using Densmore rubrics.
Prepare written feedback for each case/exam for each student.
Make a presentation after the mid-term exam (1-3 hrs) and provide suggestions for better case responses, techniques to use, and improvements.
