About The Position
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the "History of the Middle East from World War I" course (HIS2160, Section A00) during the Fall 2026 semester. The role involves supporting the teacher by grading homework, essays, and tests. This course is delivered in person. The hiring process will be governed by the current CUPE 2626 collective agreement.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate in History or related field.
- Must complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University.
- Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
Responsibilities
- Correcting homework, essays, and tests.
- Attending lectures in class and/or online.
- Consulting in person and/or online with individual students.
- Proctoring exams.
