Summer School 2026 BEST Camp at Lansing Tech Teacher LSEA
About The Position
The Lansing School District is seeking a Teacher for in-person instruction of Multilingual Learner Students to work with one of the following grade clusters: K-2, 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12 during BEST (Bilingual Education Summer Tutoring) Camp. BEST is a 6-week program, starting the week of June 16th and running through the week of July 30th. There will be a paid planning week before the program starts and debrief and reporting time after the program ends. The Program will take place onsite in person at Hill Center / Lansing Tech High School. The program will include targeted curriculum for their grade cluster created by the teachers. The curriculum for the K-8 grade clusters will focus on English Language acquisition & Literacy, grades 9-12 will also work on credit recovery. Short daytime field trips include locations such as Potter Park, Ebersole, and Michigan State University.
Requirements
- Teaching experience with Multilingual Learner Students.
- Ability to develop and implement curriculum.
- Valid teaching certification.
- Internal applicants in the aligned bargaining unit will receive preference.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with credit recovery programs for grades 9-12.
