About The Position
The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in Lansing, MI, offering diverse educational options. This position is for a Lead Teacher for the Summer School 2026 BEST Camp, a 6-week program designed for Multilingual Learner students. The program runs from the week of June 17th through the week of July 31st, with the Lead Teacher commencing one week prior for planning and preparation. The BEST Camp is an onsite, in-person program held at Gardner International Magnet school, featuring targeted curriculum for various grade clusters and short daytime field trips to locations such as Potter Park, Ebersole, and Michigan State University.
Responsibilities
- Support Multilingual Learner students as the point person for the school
- Manage the program outside of each individual classroom and across the school
- Begin 1 week before the program for planning and preparation purposes
