Part Time Teacher
About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a part-time teacher for a full-year position at a behavioral health facility in Hammond, Louisiana. The teacher will provide academic support to adolescent school-age patients receiving treatment in a small classroom setting. Typical class sizes range from 8 to 15 students. The role requires a 20-hour-per-week commitment, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The teacher will plan and deliver daily lessons, provide individualized student assistance, communicate about student progress as needed, and adjust instructional strategies to support student success. The role also includes maintaining accurate attendance and session reports.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
- A valid Louisiana state teaching license.
- Comfort working with K–12 students.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
