About The Position
LearnWell is seeking a part-time teacher in Midland, Texas, to provide on-site educational services in a behavioral health facility. The teacher will support patients ages 12–17 as they receive treatment, helping them continue their education and prepare to reintegrate into the classroom. The position is year-round and involves teaching in a small classroom, with typical class sizes of 8 to 15 students. The commitment is 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, either 12:00 PM–3:00 PM or 1:00 PM–4:00 PM.
Requirements
- B.A. or B.S. degree from an accredited institution.
- Active Texas teaching license.
- Comfort working with students in grades 7–12.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs.
- Reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Deliver daily lesson plans.
- Provide individualized assistance to students.
- Communicate about student progress as needed.
- Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to support student success.
- Maintain accurate attendance and session reports.
