About The Position
The Teacher's Aide, also known as an Assistant Classroom Educator (ACE), works directly with a certificated teacher to reinforce instruction for individual or small groups of middle school students. The role also supports classroom preparation and provides behavior support and life skills instruction during lunch and recess duty. The position may suit someone interested in progressing into a teaching role or in working with students under the supervision of a certificated teacher. Springs Charter Schools' mission is to empower students by fostering curiosity, engaging parents, and promoting optimum learning through collaboratively developed personalized learning programs. A competency test will be administered during recruitment. Upon hire, supporting education documentation must be provided if required by the position or claimed on the application. Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience working within a classroom setting, youth coaching, or educational volunteering; or an associate degree.
- Pass a local assessment of reading and math skills.
- Demonstrate a desire and experience working successfully with students exhibiting behavior problems in the classroom.
