About The Position
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing-Impaired to support deaf and hard-of-hearing children under 36 months of age and their families at West Point, NY. This is a part-time, as-needed position, with services provided up to 10 sessions per month, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Services may be provided in the home, in the community, or virtually.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with deaf or hard-of-hearing children under age 3.
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf certification.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
- Knowledge of early intervention and IFSPs.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized early-intervention services.
- Support assessments and IFSP development.
- Coach parents and caregivers.
- Monitor and document child progress.
- Coordinate with families and interdisciplinary teams.
