Teacher Assistant (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)
About The Position
Assists teachers in performing their classroom teaching responsibilities. This position is effective for the 2026–2027 school year and is located at Robins K-8 School in the Sweetwater & Silverbell area. The position is 0.625 FTE, five hours per day, on a nine-month work calendar. Positions under 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language. Salary information is available on the Employee Agreements webpage. Posted rates include increases funded through a community-approved override guaranteed through June 2031.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completion of an Arizona Department of Education-approved academic assessment test, or an associate’s degree or higher, or two years (60 semester-hour credits) of post-high-school general education studies.
- One year of experience working with youth.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Before starting, submit a copy of a diploma, transcript, or test results at the time of hire.
- Before starting, complete an FBI fingerprint background check.
- Before starting, provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
